GIS TrainingGIS is a powerfull technology when the databases that are behind it are built correctly and the users are knowledgable about how to use the software and perform analysis. We have developed GIS courses that give users the fundamental understanding of what a geographic information system is and the necessary skills to start taking advantage of the software. We have partnered with the Wenatchee Valley College Continuing Education Program to offer these courses as workshops at their campus training facility in Wenatchee, WA. CoursesIntroduction to GISThis course will teach you the fundamentals of what GIS is. You will learn what the capabilities of GIS are, the structure of GIS data, the basics of creating GIS data, how to query data, perform basic spatial analysis and how to create quality maps. After completing this course, you will have the basic skill necessary to start using GIS effectively. The course is taught at the WVC Continuing Education training lab with ESRI's ArcGIS software.
Using the GeodatabaseThis workshop introduces students to the structure and functionality of ESRI’s geodatabase. Students will learn how to build and maintain geodatabases and how to take advantage of the geodatabase capabilities to manage geographic data.
